S. Hemingway. –Would be quite useful if only he would play with a straight bat. His only chance is to hit, but he must remember that it is no use hitting at everything. An uncertain field. The Herefordian December, 1914 ‘Rowing Character’K.S. Hemingway (bow). – Though new to the work, has come on well, and by next year should have got rid of his defects. These are in the main that he swings out of the boat, and grips his oar too much when fully forward, skying his blade. Sat in his seat with great determination. The Herefordian April, 1914‘The crew chosen were: - H.B. Hodgson, R.G. Prichard, C.N. Harris and J.S. Gowring. Unfortunately, the latter dropped out, owing to a medical interference, and his place was taken by K.S. Hemingway, who proved fully worthy of it.’ The Herefordian April, 1914RunningWednesday April 2nd 1912, Sports Day Mrs. Ragg gave away the prizes, this being her last public act in an “official” capacity.
