Alexander Martin (OH 81-87) Guest Speaker at Speech Day 2015
Wednesday 11 March 2015
It was a great thrill for John Williams (Former Director of music at HCS 1985-2006) to see Alexander Martin (OH 81-87) conducting the Welsh National Opera Chorus and Orchestra, and Lesley Garrett at the Birmingham Hippodrome last week. Alex was a chorister at Hereford Cathedral, and subsequently a music scholar at HCS, organ scholar of Wells Cathedral and then organ scholar at St John's Collage, Cambridge (a position held by John Robinson OH 1997-2003) and John Challenger (1999-2006))
